Long time George Clinton & Parliament/ Funkadelic bassplayer Lige Curry is set to debut his new project Funkadelicish on June 19th at On The Rox in Hollywood. Funkadelicish is the first record released by Wefunkwest and boasts true old style funk music with modern arrangements. In this project Curry pays tribute to all the P-funk musicians he has studied under from Billy "Bass" Nelson to his cousin Michael "Kid Funkadelic" Hampton. " This is a tribute record to them all for real." says Curry. Curry will be touring with Clinton thru May and will appear in a full page ad for ESP Guitars in Bassplayer Magazine this summer. Special guests are expected to attend.

The DVDs are of CURRY'S solo San Diego "In-store Store Appearance" and STARR CULLARS "LIVE At BB Kings Hollywood."

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [Mar 16, 2006] DARRYL MCCANE of Placebo Pictures delivered to WEFUNKWEST a project with video effects on a theatrical level. The C-KUNSPYRUHZY SAMPLER consists of never released performances and rehearsals of GEORGE CLINTON, BOOTSY COLLINS, MACEO PAKER, KENDRA FOSTER, SATIVA and other P-FUNK ALLSTARS. WEFUNKWEST was wowed by the footage and the special effects promo MCCANE did for the collaboration. WEFUNKWEST intends to offer varying levels of FUNK based concert DVDs. From "Archival" and what one person called "Almost Bootlegged" video for collectors with lower pricing, to theatrical film releases which will also be sent to festivals worldwide. MCCANE'S C-KUNSPYRUHZY SAMPLER will be moderately priced with the intention of being a promotional item for the collaboration that recoups it production costs (exclucing labor). WEFUNKWEST registered and setup PLACEBOPIX.COM.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [Mar 5, 2006] WEFUNKWEST has successfully shot, edited, produced and manufactured a video DVD along with artwork and is now currently in production. The DVD is edited footage of LIGE CURRY'S San Diego in-store appearance in San Diego on Jan 13, 2006. WEFUNKWEST recently completed producing a concert DVD sampler for JOI in which the manufacturing and duplication was outsourced. This confirms WEFUNKWEST'S plan to be able to produce a quality DVD in an almost "bootleg" style. This gives the company experience in creating very quick "sampler" DVDs which are at a level which can be offered for sale. "We are not pretending there are no more challenges" says Mitchell. "This is just a nice accomplishment to celebrate. Sound quality was our number one issue until the recent upgrade of our audio equipment. We now are producing media for TRULIO DISGRACIAS which should debut our improved audio ability and so it continues." WEFUNKWEST plans to offer various DVD classes that range from inexpensive and quick "archival" type disks to full blown theatrical and enhanced production DVDs.

The collaboration began officially on December 23rd with a promotional show in which Jackson did phone interviews and debuted music. Interviews included PFUNK1 (Jeffery Mitchell) of WEFUNKWEST and Parliament/ Funkadelic bass player Lige Curry who was on location in Denver, Colorado performing. P-funk Radio debuted music from TRULIO DISGRACIAS and U.S. PIPE AND BALLS JOHNSON DANCE MACHINE. The interviews and music debuts were the idea of and coordinated by Mitchell of WEFUNKWEST. P-FUNK RADIO is broadcast every
